What is Mobili-T® and what does it do?
Mobili-T® is a portable, remote-enabled, and non-invasive surface electromyography (sEMG) biofeedback device used for treating dysphagia. The Mobili-T® connects to an included app that shows muscle excitation in real-time.
When paired with our Clinician Portal, speech language pathologists can remotely customize and monitor their patients’ swallowing exercises. This can all be done asynchronously – no phone calls or video meetings required!

Is Mobili-T® clinically proven to work?
sEMG, effortful, and Mendelssohn maneuver swallowing exercises have all been shown to improve swallowing in patients with dysphagia. Mobili-T® combines the clinical benefits of sEMG and swallowing exercise with research-backed design and usability in one convenient device.

My patient had a stroke, head and neck cancer, Parkinson’s, etc. How effective is the Mobili-T® with this condition?
Mobili-T® can be used across a wide variety of clinical populations. Contraindications to use include allergy to silver and the presence of a beard. While the functioning of implanted devices (e.g., pacemakers, deep brain stimulators) should not be affected as Mobili-T® does not deliver an electrical current, please consult with a physician prior to use.

What technology do I need to use Mobili-T®?
You need an iPhone 6 or later (on at least iOS15), or an iPad Air 2 or later (on at least iPadOS 15). Internet access is not required when you are using the Mobili-T® app. We currently do not have an Android solution.
Can multiple clinicians/patients share one device?
Absolutely! Many of our partners also have loaner programs, where they lend Mobili-T® devices to patients for continued home practice.
Can I see the microvolts/amplitude of each swallow?
With the Mobili-T® Plus & Premium packages, you can see the average amplitude (in microvolts) after every calibration.
Instead of microvolts or amplitude, we recommend that SLPs document the percent of swallows that meet the specified strength or duration threshold. This percentage is readily available in the Clinician Portal.

How do I set up Mobili-T®?

The Mobili-T app also has short tutorials on device placement, calibration, exercise, and tracking progress. These tutorials can be accessed from the Coach section in the app.

I’m on a Plus or Premium package. Can I still use Mobili-T® if I don’t renew?
Yes, you will be able to use the Mobili-T® as an sEMG device using the Mobili-T Core section of your app. You will be able to see a continuous sEMG biofeedback signal and use the preset exercises as part of the Core package. Exercise customization, in-depth data collection, and the Clinician Portal are all features that are unique to the Plus and Premium packages.
Can I manually adjust the targets for the effortful and Mendelssohn swallows?
Not yet. This feature is currently in development. Our team focuses on the features that clinicians need first – if this is an important feature for you, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can prioritize accordingly.
How do I store Mobili-T®?
Ensure your Mobili-T® is powered off before you store it in the charging dock. You can turn your Mobili-T® off by pressing the button on its top face. Your Mobili-T® will automatically turn off if placed into a powered charging dock
Always store the Mobili-T® in the charging dock when not in use. Please remember that the device will not charge unless the dock is plugged in.
How do I clean Mobili-T®?
There is no special cleaning protocol required for the Mobili-T®. After each use, you can clean the device with the appropriate disinfecting wipe and let air dry. We recommend adhering to your facility’s standard infection control and prevention practices.
My Mobili-T® doesn’t seem to be holding a charge.
How you use your device affects both battery life and lifespan. You can help your battery life and lifespan by following some simple tips:
- Keep your device half-charged when not in use for long periods.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme heat or cold.
- Store the device within the supplied charging dock / carrying case.

Where do you ship Mobili-T®?
Currently, we only deliver to customers with a shipping address in the United States of America (USA), including Puerto Rico.
When will my order arrive?
Orders will typically arrive between 5-8 business days after shipping. Please see our Shipping Policy for more details.
What is your return policy?
Mobili-T® devices that are undamaged, unopened, and unused can be returned for up to 30 days from the date of purchase. A credit or refund will be given when the returned product reaches our office provided all criteria for return have been met.
All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) clearly written on the package, which you can request by contacting us. There is a 15% restocking fee for returned items that are not being exchanged and are not damaged. You are responsible for all shipping costs if True Angle is not at fault.
In the unlikely event that the Mobili-T® develops a fault, please contact our customer care team and we’ll be happy to help, including providing a replacement if necessary.
